A Little Bit of Love is an original textile mixed media artwork created entirely from layered fabric on cradled birch panel. Part of my Quirky Birds series within the Whimsical Companions Collection — characters who exist joyfully on their own terms, built entirely from layered fabric with a personality all their own — this gentle and playful piece is a sweet expression of affection, carried lightly and offered with quiet sincerity.
A small, wonderstruck bird stands mid-stride with an endearing confidence — its rounded body constructed from a vibrant leaf-printed fabric in chartreuse, teal, and magenta, alive with botanical veining and pattern that gives the little creature an almost otherworldly energy. An orange leaf fabric forms the beak — oversized and earnest, as though mid-chirp with something important to say. Expressive oversized eyes crafted from fabric give the bird its signature wide-eyed, wonderstruck gaze.
