Where Stillness Blooms is part of Inherited Blooms — a deeply personal limited edition collection created in quiet collaboration with my late mother, an accomplished textile artist. The floral center of this piece was shaped and appliquéd entirely by her hand. I have completed each composition with layered fabric, beadwork, and crystal accents — her work and mine meeting in a shared space of memory, material, and meaning. Only 19 pieces remain in this collection.

A single blue bloom opens at the center of the composition with an unhurried, contemplative grace — its five rounded petals constructed from inherited soft blue grey fabric so quiet in tone that the flower seems to exist in a different quality of light altogether, as though seen through morning mist or the soft blur of a cherished memory. Each petal is distinct yet perfectly harmonious, radiating outward with the easy stillness of a flower that asks nothing and offers everything. At the heart of the bloom, a faceted crystal embellishment catches and holds the light with subtle brilliance — a central crystal surrounded by a starburst of iridescent crystal points that shimmer and shift with every angle of viewing, identical in spirit to the luminous center of Where Light Softens yet entirely its own quiet moment. Dark olive green fabric leaves and stems extend from the base with grounded botanical grace — their surfaces traced with Czech glass beads in deep forest green that follow the natural forms of each leaf and stem with a precise, unhurried attention. The inner background is a warm beige and cream tone on tone linen fabric — soft, natural, and deeply restful, giving the composition the feeling of a Sunday morning held still. The outer border is a soft blue grey liberty-style floral fabric printed with tiny blooms and trailing leaves — gentle, refined, and perfectly complementary to the blue bloom it frames, as though the border itself is a continuation of the garden within.

There is a sense of pause within this piece — a moment where nothing is rushed and everything is allowed to simply be. Presented in a light white wash floating frame, ready to hang. This piece is part of the Inherited Blooms Collection — a limited edition of only 19 remaining pieces.
