Where Fire Gently Falls is part of Inherited Blooms — a deeply personal limited edition collection created in quiet collaboration with my late mother, an accomplished textile artist. The floral center of this piece was shaped and appliquéd entirely by her hand. I have completed each composition with layered fabric, beadwork, and crystal accents — her work and mine meeting in a shared space of memory, material, and meaning. Only 19 pieces remain in this collection.

Two vibrant fuchsia blooms extend outward from a graceful curving fabric stem with the kind of expressive, flame-like energy that feels both wild and deeply intentional — their petals constructed from inherited fabrics in rich crimson, burnt amber, deep red, and warm orange, layered and shaped by my mother's hand into forms of extraordinary character and movement. Czech glass beads trace the petal edges in coral and red, adding a delicate dimensional shimmer that catches the light along every curve. Above the blooms, a magnificent cluster of dark green fabric leaves is densely covered in Czech glass beads in iridescent teal and green — a richly textured crown of botanical detail that grounds the fiery composition with steadiness and calm. Below the blooms, trailing crystal drops cascade downward in delicate arcing lines — falling like soft rain or drifting light, adding movement and quiet sparkle to the lower composition. The inner background is a soft natural linen fabric printed with subtle dragonfly forms — quiet, airy, and full of the kind of detail that reveals itself slowly to those who look carefully. The outer border is a warm cream and grey swirl pattern fabric that frames the entire composition with organic, flowing energy.

There is a rhythm here — an interplay between energy and stillness — where bold color is softened by gentle detail, and motion settles into something quietly meaningful.
